WEEK 4 (LIMING,LINING,SEED SOAKING AND SEED GERMINATE)

Activities

For this week, all of us has been giving the task from our lecturer's and our P.E to doing the liming and lining after the soil loosening process by using the tractor has been done . Some of the student were doing the lining process by using the measurement tape and raffia rope at plot for to be divided among the student and some of the student were doing the liming process . The purpose for this liming process is for mainly practiced to raised the soil pH and the rest of the student are doing their planting bed after the lining process has been done.

After the liming and lining process has been done, we're continue with seed soaking and seed germinate. The type of seed the we used are Cucumber, Salad, Pak choi and Long beans. The seed has been soak in the tap water around 5-6 hours to help the seed germinate faster. The seeds has been putting in the seed tray and we also put the peat moose in it as a medium growth. We put the seeds tray into the green house for a while for the seeds germination purpose.

    

     

Challenges                                                                                                                                               

The challenges for this week is it using a lot of energy for doing the plant limit . In fact, the wheather at Jasin are quite hot during this week but luckily,i had the straw hat to prevent me from the sun uv.

Costing                                                                                                                                                

For this week, It took around RM45 x 2 bag of the 25kg garden lime, RM275.40 for the seeds, RM25.50 for the 14 pcs of the seeds tray and RM30 for 2 bag of peatmoss.

                         

Reflection

 I've learned how to measure the plot,the details about the measurements Tthe function of liming and learn how to doing the work together with the other. Its quite tired but it was a fun doing all of the task with my friends and the other classes. I hope i can improvise my communication skills  so that i can make the new bond between the other class and had more friends.
